Past Presidents Meeting
An informal meeting was held on August 4, 2019 at the residence of SLAASC Founder President, Jayam Rutnam. In attendance 13 Past Presidents Jayam Rutnam, Senani Abeyagoonesekera, Roma de Zoysa, Ananda Niyerapola, Keshini Wijegooneratna, Sarath Goonetilleke, Viraj de Silva, Udaya Ranaraja, Dushantha Kurera, Jayantha Puswella, Kapila Wimalaratne. Manilal Fernando, Current President Seruk Indika Pilanamanage, Current Committee Members Secretary Shanmuganathan Vaithilingam, Romanie Abeysinghe, A Rohan Abeysinghe, Sangeetha Kariyakarawana, Sujeewa Kariyakarawana, Mano Cabral, Samantha Kurera, Ardni Pelpola and Past Committee Member Nalaka Kaluwahewa were attended. Raja Edirisuriya was sick, Gamini Goonewardena and Piyal Mataraarachchi were out of the country.
It was a productive meeting and the quorum discussed about the development of the Association in the future. In this regard it has been decided to draft amendments to the constitution for its long term viability.
