Our Mission:
Many organizations were formed, many foundations were created, many sports clubs were assembled, Buddhist Temples were founded, but most of all FRIENDSHIPS were established.  The SLAASC's first goal is to foster FRIENDSHIP among Sri Lankan Expatriates in Southern California, and I know we have achieved that goal!

One MUST NOT forget their beginnings, when one HARDLY knew anybody.  It was through the SLAASC involvement that people made friends!  Unfortunately, some of us have forgotten our humble beginnings!

These are just a few instances that come to mind.  We have done much more! And people ask,

"What have you done for the Sri Lankan community?"  My answer is "Not very much, but we will continue doing what we can, with what little donations we receive."

Others say "Do we really need this Association?"  I will leave YOU to answer that question!!!!!

OUR OBJECTIVES! - ARTICLE 2 of the SLAASC Constitution.

1. To foster the spirit of fellowship among its members.
2. To provide social, cultural and recreational activities.
3. To disseminate information pertaining to Sri Lanka and Southern California community.
4. To provide means and media of regular social contact.
5. To establish a fund for charitable purposes as provided for herein.
